Die vierte GFPS-Hitparade

Auch die vierte GFPS-Hitparade hat einen Gewinner. Letztes und vorletztes Jahr landeten die belarussischen Rocker von Lyapsis Trubetskoy noch knapp auf dem zweiten Platz, nun stehen sie ganz oben auf dem Siegerpodest. Mit ihrem schrägen Clip „Princess“ überzeugten sie die meisten von Euch und erhielten 27 % der abgegeben Stimmen. Wir können also festhalten, dass Lyapsis Trubetskoy sich in den letzten Jahren zu der beliebtesten Kapelle unseres vorweihnachtlichen Blogs etablieren konnte. Dabei hatte jede der drei Musikpralinen eine andere musikalische Note und sehr unterschiedliche Themen zu bieten(2010 „Africa“und 2011 „Kapital“). Alleine diese kleine Auswahl verdeutlicht wie vielseitig und kreativ die Musiker aus Minsk sind. Wir freuen uns schon auf den nächsten Advent und sind gespannt, ob Lyapsis Trubetskoy uns wieder mit einer neuen musikalischen Praline begeistern werden!

The fourth GFPS charts have a winner: Lyapsis Trubetskoy have made their way to the top of the list, after having been second in last year and the year before. With their crazy video “Princess” they convinced you and give them a 27 % of all votes. We must conclude that the Belarusian Lyapsis Trubetskoy maintains to be one of the most popular and interesting groups from the countries covered by GFPS and consequently one of the big stars in our yearly pre-Christmas blog. By the way, the three pieces, we presented during the last three editions (in 2011: “Capital”, in 2010: “Africa”), had their very special atmosphere and different topics each. Although this selection is not representative at all, it gives prove of the musicians’ versatility. We’re really curious, whether the group from Minsk will fascinate us with another piece in December 2013 as well.

Knapp dahinter wurde das Projekt Tuwim dla doroslych (Tuwim für Erwachsene) des Warschauer Musiktheaters Roma gewählt. Es handelt sich dabei um einen literarischen Wutausbruch des polnisch-jüdischen Autors Julian Tuwim. Eine kleine Zeitreise in das Polen der 1930er Jahre, die mit 24% der abgegebenen Stimmen belohnt wurde.

Den dritten Platz teilen sich Tata Bojs, die Pop-Rocker aus Prag und die Münchner Band Moop Mama. So befinden sich unter den ersten drei Platzierungen Repräsentanten aller GFPS-Länder mit unterschiedlichsten musikalischen Beiträgen der letzten Jahre. So verschieden die Beiträge waren, so knapp war auch die Wahl am Ende der Adventszeit.

Shortly behind on the second place finding itself is “Tuwim dla doroslych” (Tuwim for adults), the project by the Roma Theatre from Warsaw. The song is an interpretation of a fierce poem by Julian Tuwim, a polish Jew, who lived in Warsaw in the 1930s. This travel in time was honored by you with 24 % of all votes.

Finally, the third place is shared by Tata Bojs from Prague and Moop Mama from Munich (19 % each). Thus, among the top three of our musical charts there are songs from each country covered by GFPS.
We hope to have introduced to you a tasteful selection of musical goodies this year, so that all of you discovered at least one or another new and exciting sound. Auch in der diesjährigen Vorweihnachtszeit präsentieren wir Euch einen Adventskalender der besonderen Art. Zum vierten Mal könnt ihr Euch vom 1. Dezember tagtäglich von einer musikalischen Praline aus einem der vier Partnerländer von GFPS überraschen lassen und so Musikgruppen aus Deutschland, Polen, Tschechien und Belarus kennenlernen. Zu den Songs und Videos gibt es wie immer eine Übersetzung und kurze Vorstellung der Musikerinnen und Musiker in deutscher und englischer Sprache.

Zu entdecken gibt es dabei nicht nur angesagten polnischen Jazz, belarussischen Hip-Hop, tschechischen Pop oder deutsche Liedermacher, sondern auch allerlei grenzüberschreitende Fusionen – rappende Blaskapellen, swingende Babuschkas und rockende Zirkusakrobaten.

Ihr seid herzlich eingeladen, die Musikpralinen zu kommentieren und nach Weihnachten bis zum 6. Januar 2013 über den GFPS-Weihnachtshit 2012 abzustimmen.

We kindly invite You to spend the time waiting for Christmas with a very special kind of pralines in our musical advent calendar 2012. As in the previous editions, we have chosen another twenty-four music videos for exquisite sensitive surprises. You’re welcome to discover interesting artists and bands from Germany, Poland, the Czech Republic and Belarus, as of the four home countries of GFPS (Association for Academic Exchange in Central and Eastern Europe). Next to this, You will find the lyrics (in original language and in German and English translation) as well as a short information introducing the performing artists.

This year You may find Polish Jazz, Belarusian Hip Hop, Czech Rock and Roll and German Singer-Songwriters, many of them crossing the boarders of countries, languages and musical genres. Experience rap music dressed up as a Bavarian brass band, swinging babushkas and the circus of dreams and phantasms.
